The Bishop’s Delegate will strive to respond diligently to all messages.
- Our concern is the respect of the complainant’s right to privacy and confidentiality.
- Our mission is the compassion to the complainant who estimates it difficult to come forward with an allegation of abuse or misconduct.
- Our objective is for the care of the complainant who is hurting and the prevention of abuse and misconduct.
The Eparchy of Saint Maron – Canada is made up of people who care deeply for the well-being of all its members and of those to whom its clergy and/or laity minister.
Over the years, the Eparchy is diligently improving the perception of the possibility of harm being done to those very people who stand most in need of our care and compassion.
We hear Christ’s words: “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me” (Matt 25,40). We implement these words with a renewed commitment to ensuring that our parish communities reflect their care of the vulnerable, their safety and their integrity.
Based on the above, the Eparchy has developed its guidelines:
- Managing Allegations of Sexual Abuse.
- Care of Victims.

The Bishop’s office is directly responsible for the implementation of these guidelines. He will ensure that they are well-known throughout the Eparchy and are continually kept in mind by the parishes, organizations and individuals that compose it. He will deploy efforts to develop a pastoral plan to ensure the training, informative sessions and/or continued formation necessary in this regard.
